Here are two pages and the cover from the 12 page comic myself and two
other students completed in just 3 days! It's an outerspace action/adventure
about an alien who runs into some trouble after landing on a planet and trying
to declare it as his own.
Most of the ideas were from my students, Tilly(11) and Long(12) , I just had them
contrained to using my prefabricated 6 panel pages and kept them in mind that the
story must reach some kind of conclusion on on page 12.
The team work was incredible, where someone left off in the story, someone else immediately
picked up from that frame and continued on.. always trying to make another comical scenario.
The result was a 12 page story, plus cover, we folded and stapled, that everyone can be really proud of. For me, it was amazing to see such young artists with natural instincts for the medium and such a solid grasp of comic story telling.

I co-taught a comix classe recently at the GFZK
here in Leipzig ...the students were amazing, they worked extremely hard and and came up with some really
great stuff..looking forward to another classe in the summer!

David Schilter. These things look awesome, and are packed full of
international comic artists. I did a 5 page story about some rotten kids
